The first team will develop an environmental impact study:
Students must supply six areas that are relevant and applicable to the environment in and around the old Middle School.
The second team will develop a budget for the project:
Students will calculate a budget for the seven teams including themselves.
The third team will do the OSHA and IOSHA research:
Students will research the OSHA and IOSHA regulations to determine what guidelines are to be followed for the demolition.
The fourth team will develop a safety plan:
This group is partially under the OSHA and IOSHA perview. Students will research all safety protocols for the planning and successful completion of the demolition. Ex. Interior planning, exterior planning, safe distances….
The fifth team will develop a disposal and/or recyclable material list.
Students will estimate what materials inside and out of the structure can and should be recycled and what materials are to be disposed of.
The final piece of the project.
Students will write a one page typed, doubled spaced, 12pt. font, Times New Roman reflection paper. Tell me what you liked, did not like, what you learned or did not learn, ect......
